Bafana Bafana Heads North
Thousands of football fans, both Norwegian and South African, braved the cold October weather to support their national teams during an international friendly match at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo.  Before the match, many Norwegians and South Africans joined a peace walk from the Nobel Peace Center to Parliament. Trevor Manuel Visits Oslo
Trevor Manuel, South Africa’s long-standing Finance Minister and head of the National Planning Commission in South Africa, visited Norway in October to take part in a conference on Poverty and Development arranged by Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD). Read more
 

 

State Visit to South Africa
Over 70 Norwegian companies, Government Ministers and senior officials accompanied the Norwegian Majesties’ State visit to South Africa in November 2009. Branded a huge success, the visit allowed the Royal Couple to tie an even closer connection with South Africa, 11 years after their last State Visit. Read more
