In our third newsletter in 2011, you can read about Mandela Day in Oslo and Soweto Kliptown Youth, who participated in this year’s Norway Cup. You can also read about President Zuma’s State Visit to Norway in the end of August, hosted by Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja. The newsletter also features an article on Norwegians who make a difference in South Africa, and in this edition you can learn more about actress Mari Maurstad’s organisation Zulufadder.

In this year's second newsletter, you can read more about how the Embassy celebrated Freedom Day. You can also read about the two former South African Presidents, Mr Thabo Mbeki and Mr FW de Klerk, who visited Oslo in May 2011. We have also written about the Litterature Festival in Lillehammer, where South African writer André Brink, was the main speaker. Other stories include the launch of the Marimba Funky Jazz Festival at the Oslo Mission and a visit to Oslo by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Marius Fransman.

In this year's first newsletter, you can read more about the South African Children's Day at the South African Embassy, where 40 parents and 29 adopted children attended. We have also written about the Film Afrikana festival in Oslo and the South African artist Nicholas Hlobo, who has had an exhibition in Norway. You can also read about the South African head of the Norwegian Salvation Army, as well as the South African Embassy's new staff members.

In 2010s fourth newsletter, you can read more about the female ambassadors in Oslo gathering for their monthly networking lunch, a series of wine tasting seminars at the Embassy, the launch of South African Zwai Mbula's new album, a fantastic concert with the North Sea Big Band at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Ambassador Sisulu's visit to the Technology Centre at Mongstad, and much more.

Our summer edition gives you more information about the international Mela festival in Oslo, where South African artist Hugh Masekela was one of the main acts. You can also read more about a FAFO-seminar on HIV & AIDS in South Africa, Africa Day at NUPI and Norway's biggest South African Wine tasting, where more than 30 world-class South African wine houses were represented.

Our spring edition includes a news story on the Embassy's Freedom Day Celebrations, followed by a press seminar to brief journalists on the World Cup. We also met three Norwegians who planned to drive to South Africa from Norway and attended the opening of the new SA Peace Laureates exhibition at the Nobel Center. The World Cup events at the Embassy have also been covered.

In our first 2010 newsletter edition, you can read about the premiere screening of Clint Eastwood's latest film Invictus, a South African Film Festival in Lillehammer, a seminar focusing on the rights of Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual and Trans gender (LGBT) persons, a seminar commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Sharpeville massacre, as well as the Amandus Film Festival in Lillehammer.
